In an effort to encourage youths to join social enterprises, the Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli Regional Branch of the Workforce Development Agency collaborated with National Chiao Tung University to establish the “Social Enterprise Dream Base” in the auditorium next to the College of Hakka Studies on the 21st, thereby providing an online and brick & mortar platform to facilitate the continual development of the younger generation.
Ding Yu-zhen, Director of the Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli Regional Branch, Lin Hsiu-hsing, Director of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Chiao Tung University and others attended the unveiling ceremony of the Social Enterprise Dream Base. Meanwhile, Liao I-ya from Taiwan Yuan-li Handiwork Association, Hsu Chun-ching from Xinbu Persimmon Dye Development Association and Peng Kang-ming from Zhongzhen Community Development Association in Longtan Township, Taoyuan all shared their experiences about social enterprise and demonstrated their expectations toward the dream base.
According to Ding Yu-zhen, the collaboration with National Chiao Tung University creates a development environment conducive for social enterprise innovation, entrepreneurship and growth. It also provides private organizations and individuals with diverse employment development solutions, empowers the executors of the employment program and develops the support locations for social enterprise networking.
Social Enterprise Dream Base invites social enterprise development related experts from the industry to provide case studies for the purposes of sharing, consultation and interaction. We offer a venue for social enterprise workers to exchange experiences free of charge, reservation in advance is welcome.
